I would suggest just being transparent about your goals and the value you bring to the table. I would deal in facts & not hypotheticals so your case is always strong 💪

Should I share my salary with my professional peers? What should I be mindful of when having these conversations?? A coworker recently came to me suggesting we should be making more compared to his research and talking to others at a different company in the same position. Problem is I'm currently making significantly more than them and what they are requesting because I did negotiate my pay. I suggested another ball park closer to my salary but they said that seemed unreasonable... I did not know how to respond from there. Should I tell them what I make or should I let them find their own way?

That such a sensitive subject! I want to say it'll only help you on your next raise, because if their pay increases to yours then you have that as a reference point in negotiations too

There are a couple of approaches. I have a friend that approaches jobs in general similar to dating. If it's not working out, or if you're not happy, it's incredibly important to communicate separately. The conversation needs to be strategic and tactical and can't be an attack. I would recommend reading Never Split the Difference.

I found a company through a webinar that I attended. The CEO spoke to us about salary negotiations and the company offers these free checkins where you're able to talk to a consultant about your negotiation etc. It's called Eaerner (www.teamearner.com)
